Following the completion of his second term in office, former Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, has commenced a post-tenure vacation for rest and comprehensive medical evaluations.
The vacation comes after Obaseki formally concluded his tenure on November 11, 2024, marking the end of an eight-year leadership period.

This development was announced by Crusoe Osagie, the former governor’s Media Adviser, who highlighted Obaseki’s enduring gratitude to the people of Edo State and Nigeria for the privilege of serving them.

In his message, Obaseki encouraged Edo State’s residents and the Nigerian Diaspora to remain hopeful and steadfast in their commitment to the State’s peace, progress, and prosperity.
