Policing is The Business of Everyone: CP Otimenyin

Edo state Commissioner of Police, CP Enekpen Isokpan Otimenyin, who made her second official stop at the Nigeria Union of Journalists Secretariat after the visit to the Edo State governor, Monday Okpebholo, called on media partnership with the police to rid Edo state of crime.

CP. Otimenyin who acknowledged the role of the media in combating crime, said the job of making society free from crime is the business of all stakeholders

CP Otimenyin who also sought the cooperation of the general public to make Edo sate safe for investors and for tourism to thrive, said the citizens should imbibe the habit of knowing your neighbors as he encourages everyone to always report any suspicious activity to the police which she promised will be handled discretely

Responding, Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Edo State Council, Comrade Festus Alenkhe, assured the Commissioner of the Union’s support.

Comrade Festus Alenkhe used the opportunity to appealed for more time in implementing the third-party insurance directive issued by the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, he suggested, a week long sensitization program to enable time for citizens to comply

CP Enekpen Isokpan Otimenyin is the 49th Commissioner of Police, Edo State Command, and the first female Commissioner to be deployed to the state Command.
