Governor Okpebholo Commended for Transformative Policies in Edo State

The Special Adviser to Edo State Governor on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Hon. Sally Salamatu Suleiman, has commended Governor Monday Okpebholo for crafting policies that have transformed ideas into values, dignity, livelihoods, and enterprises in Edo State. She made this commendation during the graduation ceremony of the 7th grand finale of the Junior Chamber International Nigeria, UNIBEN Chapter, held at the Akin Deko Auditorium, University of Benin.

In her address at the employability, business, and leadership assessment session themed “From Adaptation to Innovation: Leading the New Era,” Hon. Suleiman emphasized the importance of continuous academic upgrading to remain relevant in one’s chosen career. She noted that the rapidly changing world demands prerequisite preparedness and urged the graduands to transition from a reactive to a proactive approach, taking charge of their destiny and shaping the future.

Hon. Suleiman highlighted that the strength of a nation lies not solely in its armies or wealth but in the quality of minds it cultivates through education. She praised Governor Okpebholo’s policies, which prioritize human capital development, education, healthcare, and agriculture, stating that when policies work, people thrive.

In her words, The Governor of Edo State, under the leadership of Senator Monday Okpebholo, has informed policies to strengthen education, healthcare, and agriculture. When policies work, people will thrive by turning ideals into values.” She encouraged the graduands to adapt, innovate, and create solutions when faced with challenges, emphasizing the importance of emotional intelligence, performance management, and effective task delegation in leadership
